Frank Vervalcke, CFSP

Partner. Funeral Director/Embalmer

With over 20 years in funeral service, Frank brings a steady blend of compassion, professionalism, and leadership to his role as Partner at Sage Funeral Home.

His path into funeral service started early. While still in high school, Frank job-shadowed local funeral homes, asking every funeral director he met, questions about the profession and how to get started. He eagerly joined the profession, working as an attendant in 1998. He graduated from the Western School of Funeral Service (now Canadian College of Funeral Service ) in 2004 and has since built a well-rounded career that spans from cemetery maintenance, funeral directing & decedent care, to corporate management of multiple funeral homes and crematorium.

An entrepreneur at heart and a lifelong learner, Frank is proud to hold the CFSP designation and believes deeply in doing things the right way, with intention, integrity, and transparency. Being part of Sage allows him to serve families with personalized care, honest guidance, and a modern approach to funeral service.

Frank is married to Sherylee and together are raising their daughter Olivia, along with three crazy Doodles:  Leo, Louis, and Stan. Outside of work, you will most often find him at the cabin with family, or fishing and enjoying the outdoors.

Frank’s vision for Sage Funeral Home is simple:

To be the first place families think of when they need end of life care and support. That happens by treating every family with dignity, being fully transparent, and earning trust one family at a time. As Sage grows, so will a team that shares that same passion to serve.
