Shane Kenneth Bruvold

In Loving Memory of Shane Kennth Bruvold passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in his home in Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 50 years old.

He left this earth and joined his Dad (Ken Bruvold) in heaven. Shane was born April 7, 1974, in Fort St John, B.C.

Shane was a strong silent type who had a great sense of humor and a huge heart.

He used to love playing his guitar and working on cars, even restoring an old farm truck to its glory days for his Dad.

He was extremely talented at reuse and recycle projects and had the gift of making something beautiful out of what others may consider trash.

He was a kind soul and a loyal, loving person.

He leaves behind three beautiful children Karla-Rae, Dallas and Olivia-Jonah. Along with two grandchildren David and Jonni. He also leaves to mourn his mother Karen Bruvold, brother Cody (Melissa) Bruvold, sisters Wanda (Odlanier) Rivera and Tammy (Steve) Power as well as numerous nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Shane was taken far too young, and had fought courageously everyday with mental illness. Although this was not a direct result of his passing, his family would like to take the stigma of speaking of it away. These later years of his life he had periods where going out into the world was too much for him. When people struggle this much with mental illness it can be hard on those around them. Although we know he loved us all deeply we have felt the toll of it on our hearts. We hope that we can all remember the good times and think on those and if we find ourselves struggling with our own mental health, we will reach out.
