2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Graham Krumm, who left this world peacefully on October 19, 2025, at Pasqua Hospital in Regina—the same hospital where he was born 64 years ago.  David faced a short but aggressive battle with cancer with strength and dignity, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

Dave was a loving partner, brother, uncle , great uncle , and friend.

A proud and dedicated Unionized Ironworker and Journeyman Welder with Local 771 since 1988, Dave was skilled and passionate about his work. Dave earned the respect of his union Brothers and Sisters throughout Saskatchewan and beyond. He carried the torch of the trade with pride and passed along his knowledge to many who followed.

Beyond his career, he lived life full throttle —whether it was riding his Harley down the highway, tearing down the grid on his quad, through fields on his sled , or across lakes on his boat.

He was just as comfortable in the garage as he was outdoors, if he was wasn’t building, or fabricating something with his hands, then he was fishing or hunting.

Saturdays often began with the fellowship of friends at Regina Beach AA meetings, where he recently celebrated an incredible milestone—17 years of sobriety. His journey of recovery was a true testament to his strength and commitment . In his own words “try harder” and that’s how he tackled everything in his life.

At his side always was his beloved dog, Ollie, who brought him comfort and constant companionship when working on projects around home.

David will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of hard work, loyalty, and resilience lives on in the hearts of his family, fellow union members, friends, and community.

Dave is lovingly remembered by his devoted partner of 14 years, Bernadine Small, and her children — Jesse, Joselyn, and Jaelynn (Connor).

He also leaves behind his brother Brian (Arlene) and their family: Devin (Eleisha) and their children Aidan, Brendan, and Ciara; Mike (Beckie) and their children Olivia, Zoe, and Anthony; and Leca (Will) Flavell and their children Liam and Lainey.  Dave is also mourned by his sister Wendy Wallace, and her daughters Desireé (Jim) Simard and Jeneé (Andrew).

To remember him fondly is Bernadine’s mother, Zonnia Kachmarski.  He will also be lovingly remembered by Bernadine’s family; sister-in-law Kim and children Taylor, Aaron, and Liam, as well as her brothers Rob and Marvin (Tammy) and their children Rees and Maryn.

He is reunited in eternal peace with his beloved parents, Kenneth and Mildred; his brother-in-law, Jack Wallace; his cousin, whom he considered a brother, Bill Duncan; and Bernadine’s brother, Wallace Kachmarski.

A celebration of Dave’s life will be on Saturday, November 1 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Belle Plaine Hall.

Rest easy, Dave. Ride free.
