With heavy hearts, the family of Arlene Thamer Linklater announces her peaceful passing on June 30, 2025, at the age of 40.
Arlene was a radiant presence whose kindness, humour, and quiet strength left an unforgettable mark on everyone she met. Despite facing many health challenges, she remained a source of light and positivity — always putting others before herself, offering encouragement, and nurturing deep, loving connections with those around her. Her warmth and generosity were especially felt by her community at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, where she became a friend, support, and inspiration to many.
Arlene will be deeply missed by her mother Donna Linklater and stepfather Herman Michelle, her beloved children Dante Linklater, Trenis Dubois, and Winter Desjarlais; her sister Charlene Linklater. She also leaves behind her cherished Granny Marie Sinclair, her aunties, Evelyn, Judy (Gabe), Wendy, and Uncle Dwayne; great aunties and uncle Christina, Hilda, Margaret, Irene (Denny), and Marcel.
Arlene held special love for Charlene’s children, Teshawn and Prosper; Leslie and her children; Paris, Paige, Maya, Emma and Kayne and cousins Kaytlyn, LeeAnna, Jasmine, Kaylee, Rylee, Punky, Kerry, Robby, Rosa, Daylight, and Irene — each of whom brought her joy.
She is lovingly reunited in the spirit world with her brother Leslie Linklater, her great-grandparents Philothee and Joseph, her uncle Clifford Sinclair, and her cousins Patrick Joseph, Ramsay Linklater, Nikisha Linklater, Chastity McDonald and Kayya Sinclair and baby Voilet Colomb.
Arlene was a loving mother, a devoted daughter, a treasured niece, and a loyal friend. Her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, and ability to bring people together will be remembered always. To know Arlene was to be welcomed with open arms — and to carry her memory is to hold onto love.
A celebration of Arlene’s life will be held at Wascana Rehabilitation Center in the Chapel on the 2nd floor at 2pm on Tuesday, July 8th with a reception to follow in the cafeteria.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers, friends, and extended family who surrounded Arlene with love throughout her life.
