It is with broken hearts — but also with immense gratitude for the years we were blessed to share with him — that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad, and grandpa, Archie Fieldgate, on Thursday, August 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Archie was predeceased by his parents, Archie and Jessie; brothers, Ed and Hugh; sister-in-law, Doreen; in-laws, Wally and Phyllis Rider; and brother-in-law, Ron Rider.

He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his one true love of 60 years, Gloria; daughter, Michelle Rohde; son, Michael Fieldgate; grandsons, Joshua Rohde (Renee) and Miles Fieldgate (Darian), sisters-in-law, Shirley Fieldgate, Terry Rider, and Darlene Rider; nieces, Cathy (Rae), Allison, Debbie (Lionel), Denise, Deana, and Shauna (Jamie); nephews, Brian (Nancy), Stuart, Steven, Scott (Michele), and Sean; as well as numerous great- and great-great-nieces and nephews, and countless cherished friends.

Archie was a man of integrity, dignity, and strength; virtues he carried faithfully until his final breath. His life was built around three things: family, faith, and friends. He had an incredible laugh, a gift for making others smile, and a presence that could light up a room. He was a gifted musician and he shared it freely with those around him. We were blessed to walk this world with one of its finest souls. The world is quieter without him, but his love and joy will remain in our hearts forever.

The Celebration of Archie's life will be held at Westminster United Church, 3025 13th Avenue, Regina, SK, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. In honor of our dad, we invite those who will be joining us to consider wearing his favorite color, blue.

Parking is available at Holy Rosary Cathedral, and you are welcome to make use of it when attending the funeral service.

Flowers are most gratefully declined. It was dad’s wish that any memorial donations in his name go to Craik United Church, Box 312, Craik, SK, S0G 0V0, to help support the continued ministries especially those surrounding the children and youth. This is where dad sat faithfully each Sunday morning, for the past 6 years to hear his favorite “Preacher.”

“Rest easy you dear sweet man, make them laugh, make them sing, and save a place for us until we meet again! We love you.”
